Queen House restaurant has now become a place of tourist attraction in Bagan area, say the tourist guides.
Queen House is a biggest restaurant in the ancient city of Bagan, which has valuable cultural heritage.
The entrance gate looks very much like entrance gates of Bagan Era. There is a stone inscription of Queen Phwa Saw just behind the entrance. There is a 100-year-old Tamarind tree in the compound of the restaurant.
“Queen House is named after Queen Phwa Saw. She was born here in this place. This place used to be the building of Tourist Information Zone. And the prices are just the same as others”, explained a tourist guide.
The place around the century-old tree can accommodate 200 customers whereas the place near the theatrical stage can accommodate about 200 customers. There are cultural dance shows of Bagan Era, it is learnt.
“Opening of this restaurant enables the tourists to relax. They even watch sunset from this shop”, remarked the tourist guide.
